Weekly Homework
Reading Log: Students are required to ready for a minimum of 30 minutes a night Monday - Thursday. Students are to fill out the chart and a parent/guardian signature is required. If students do not complete an entire book in one evening that is ok, just make sure to write the title of the book and pages read.
Math Facts in a Flash: Students are required to practice their math facts each night. This is a school wide program where students must answer 40 problems correctly in less than 2 minutes. If done successfully the student moves on to the next level. The first level that all students are tested on is 0,1 addition. Next will be 2, 3 addition, etc. At minimum students will get to take a test if they wish, twice a week, to try to pass their current level.
Reading Skill: This is one activity that helps reinforce the reading skill taught the previous week in class.

Writing: Each week students will have a writing activity for homework that focuses on a specific skills. Please make sure your child is taking their time to complete these assignments with legible and proper letter formation.

The pouch is to be used for lunch money, book orders, field trips, fundraisers, box tops, etc. Please remember to put money in an envelope with your student's name and then place it in the pouch. You may also put any doctor notes in this pouch.

The notebook will serve as a communication tool. If you need to write me a note or if your child has a transportation change please write this information inside of the notebook. I will read this daily. Please look for notes from me in this notebook as well.
